Jet Familiarization Course

What is the Jet Familiarization Course?
Aviator's Jet Familiarization Course uses our Bombardier CRJ-200 FTD. This three day program consists of two phases. The first phase is 12 hours of ground school using a computer based trainer. The second phase is eight hours in our visual CRJ FTD, of which four hours are in the right seat and four hours are in the left seat. The instructors teaching this course are former CRJ airline pilots. At completion of this course, you will receive a Graduation Certificate for the Jet Familiarization Course. Private bedroom accommodation is included for your stay.

8 hours of training in our visual CRJ flight FTD
Focusing On:
  • Cockpit Flows
  • Crew Resource Management (flying from both the right and left seats -- 4 hours in each seat)
  • Simulated Emergencies
  • Single engine take-offs (V1 cuts), approaches and landings
  • Line Orientated Flight Training (LOFT), where you will operate the CRJ in a simulated airline operation

Aviator Flight College is a flight school which offers flight training and pilot training within the degree programs. The college accepts VA Post 911, Chapter 33, benefits and offers Federal loans for flight training.
