Our qualified flight instructors have helped thousands of international students successfully complete their certification in commercial, private, multi engine rating, instrument rating, airline transport, and flight instruction.

The Aviator College of Aeronautical Science accepts aspiring International Students who wish to complete an Associate of Science Degree in Aeronautical Science. The Aviator Flight Training Academy accepts International Students who wish to complete a certificate program or earn specific licenses. The Degree Program will take up to a 24 months for completion. Students complete five consecutive semesters. The last two semesters contain an internship component. Interns are required to instruct a minimum of 153 hours each of the two semesters along with completing the General Education Requirements. Transfer Credit may be given for the General Education requirements and previous flight training completed. Send transcripts and copies of any current flight licenses to the Registrars Office for determination.

Documents for Flight Training in USA

Flight School applications in the United States require copies of each of the following:
  • Passport
  • Evidence of funds in English. The funds must be in USD
  • School transcripts or diploma, depending on flight school of your choice

TSA Backgorund

You must complete a TSA background investigation request form. Register with the Transportation Safety Administration (T.S.A.) for the Aeronautical Science Degree Program - www.flightschoolcandiates.gov

Physical Exam

Schedule a physical exam for an FAA medical (1st class) from a doctor authorized to give this exam. To locate a doctor in your area, visit this website:

Visa Interview

Schedule an appointment with the U.S. Embassy in your country for the visa interview. You must allow at least two weeks after your TSA background investigation request form to process and for your FAA medical to be authorized. The current wait time for an M-1 visa to be processed will depend on the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Please visit the website to locate US Embassy near you.

Knowledge of English Language

You must prove English language proficiency prior to your embassy visit. There are written exams and an online version. There is a fee to take the exam. To register online and take the exam, visit the website.
